Employees want jobs with a purpose: both the company and the employees’ purpose. When you’ve successfully combined those two, the business growth through employee engagement is infinite. Employees are no longer interested in just the money you give them. They want to be part of something that ‘does good’. They want real soulful connection and fulfillment. I know. The squishy stuff companies don’t want to address. Hey, I understand. It’s not most of your team’s forte. However, it is mine.
Consumers too want to buy from ‘nice’ corporations not greedy ones. There’s even a stock portfolio for social impact that was started by Amy Domini in 1997, Domini Impact Investments- investing for good.
